Terms and Conditions


By submitting a commission request with the Business (The Art of Rem), the Client agrees to these Terms and Conditions.General
a) The Business reserves the right to decline any commission at any time without reason or explanation.
b) The Business reserves the right to not share details about the rate at which they charge.
c) Communication with the Client will conducted during standard business hours according to AWST (GMT+08).
Image Rights
a) All artwork is for personal use only. The Client retains all the rights to their intellectual property. The Business retain all the rights and ownership of the artwork produced, including any preparatory work completed, such as sketches and concept work.
b) The Business does not own the rights to any characters or intellectual properties depicted in the artwork.
c) The Client may not use the artwork for commercial purposes, and may not resell or otherwise earn a profit from the artwork.
d) The Client is allowed to repost commissioned artwork to their social media and/or website, but the Client must identify The Business as the creator of the work through a link to their website or social media handle(s). Reposting without identifying The Business is strictly prohibited.
e) The Client is not permitted, under any circumstances, to use any part of the commissioned artwork for non-fungible tokens (NFTs). Use of the artwork for any advertising or profits with non-fungible tokens, cryptocurrency or any blockchain-based technologies is strictly prohibited.
f) The Client is not permitted, under any circumstances, to use any part of the commissioned artwork in training artificial intelligence (AI) and/or machine learning (ML) models.
Payments and Refunds
a) Payments will be processed in AUD via PayPal or Square.
b) A 50% deposit must be paid before the work is begun, and the other 50% paid within 7 days of the final product being delivered, unless otherwise negotiated.
c) The Client may choose to terminate their commission at any time. If work has already commenced, a partial refund will be given proportionate to the amount of work completed.
d) Refunds will not be issued on fully completed artwork.
e) Commissioned artwork may be posted to the Business's social media and/or website, or any website where the Business's work may be showcased, unless the Client asks otherwise.
Process
a) Deadlines must be communicated prior to the commencement of the work.
b) The Client is allowed up to three major revisions (e.g. pose changes, clothing changes) during the sketching stage. After this stage, any major revisions will incur an extra fee, and the Business reserves the right to decline any major revisions.
c) Minor changes are allowed but must be discussed.
Modifications
a) Any modifications must be agreed to by both the Client and the Business, and must be confirmed in writing.

Rem) [they/them] is an illustrator born in Tāmaki (Auckland) and raised in Boorloo (Perth).With a passion for all things artsy and occult, their works dabble most often in fantasy and magical realism. When not working on various original IP projects, they can be found playing video games, sewing ambitious cosplay projects, or silently admiring the birds in their backyard.They have a Bachelor of Creative Media, double-majoring in Games Art & Design and Japanese.
